Bud

A tall bearded man in a tight green satin dress
Stands in front of the U.S. flag drinking Budweiser
I can’t speak for him, but I feel like I am trying,
There is a horse in my bath tub for instance
The night smiles sarcastically when it finally arrives
Wherever you go, there will be no love or too much
I know that’s no match for the things you know
The man in the green dress is grinning from ear to ear

Not Yet Quite Again

Lately

Lately the work of Matthew Rohrer and Wallace Stevens have been making time disappear.

The Corduroy Mtn.

I have a poem forthcoming in The Corduroy Mtn.

Matterhorn

Your said

Anteater said hello once
When I was drunk at some bar,
When the Sun smashed
Through the window then
You always tried to say ‘I don’t know’
Over and over, all the time
Hours and minutes ago
Happy dragons roll on the floor
